A tummy tuck, also know as Abdominoplasty, is for patients who have an excess of abdominal skin and unusually loose abdominal muscles. A tummy tuck is surgical tightening of abdominal muscles, removal of excess skin and fat. This surgery flattens abdomen, tightens the surrounding muscles and contours the waist.

The length of a tummy tuck procedure can last up to 5 hours, depending upon the procedure (mini, modified or extended) discussed prior with your doctor during consultation.

This is an out-patient procedure unless it is combined with another procedure; general anesthesia will be administered. Recovery time can last anywhere from 2 – 6 weeks, depending on type of procedure. Final results are permanent but also contingent upon pregnancy and future weight gain.
