Breast Enhancement: Services Available-
Breast Enhancement (Breast Augmentation)
Breast enhancement or breast augmentation, has proven to be the safest and most effective method of adding volume and contour to breasts. Women of all ages have several reasons for undergoing breast enhancement; decreased volume in the breasts from childbirth, deformity of breasts, or simply underdeveloped breasts with little tissue.
Breast Augmentation (Mammalasty), can be performed under local (twilight) or general or anesthesia depending upon the procedure and/or plastic surgeon. Most breast enhancement procedures takes 1 – 3 hours to complete.
An incision will be made either under the base of the breast or around the darker outline of the areola depending upon breast implant type and size; this breast enhancement method will be discussed with the doctor during the consultation. Several stitches will be placed after the insertion of the implant. Scar tissue naturally forms around the breast implant to firmly and safely hold the breast implant in place.
All pre-operative breast enhancement care instructions and expectations including medication, resuming activity and more, will thoroughly be discussed during the consultation with the doctor.
Breast Lift
A breast lift is a common surgical procedure to lift and reshape sagging breasts due to child birth or genetics of breast tissue and elasticity of skin. Incision location is contingent upon the degree of the lift needed.
Most commonly, a breast lift procedure lasts from 3 – 4 hours and is an out-patient surgery. General anesthesia is administered by a licensed board-certified anesthesiologist.
Depending upon patient’s health condition, the recovery period can take up to 7 days. Final results can last near a lifetime; however, gravity, natural aging process, pregnancy and weight fluctuations can affect long-term results
Breast Reduction | Breast Reduction Surgery
Large breasts can wreak havoc on a woman’s self-esteem and also cause back problems. For those reasons, breast reduction surgery is commonly and safely performed by our doctor.
Breast tissue and skin is surgically removed leaving the breast firmer and lighter, possibly removing the areola for best aesthetic results. Breast reduction is not commonly referred to as a cosmetic surgery, rather a medical procedure covered by medical insurance.
After a week or two of healing, patients can begin to see the final result of their new breasts, and loving the results.
All pre-operative care instructions and expectations including medication, resuming activity and more, will thoroughly be discussed during the breast reduction surgery consultation with the doctor.
Breast Lift-Mastopexy + Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is safely and effectively performed by experienced plastic surgeons. A breast lift plus an augmentation can help restore the fullness and firmness to the breast volume.
This surgical procedure is an out-patient procedure that can take anywhere up to 4 hours to complete. General anesthesia will be administered due to the patient for a more comfortable experience. Due to the type of surgery, one week of recovery time is necessary to return to a physical lifestyle. For more rigorous exercise routines, the doctor recommends sustaining at least 3 weeks after the surgery date for best results and safety.
Long lasting results are expected from a breast lift-mastopexy plus a breast augmentation, however; pregnancy, weight fluctuations and aging can alter breast shape and size.
Male Breast Reduction Surgery
Male breast reduction surgery has become a popular surgical procedure for men who have exhausted their options of diet and exercise. Male breast reduction, also known as gynecomastia, reduces abnormally enlarged breasts by liposuction and/or removing excess glandular tissue.
In general, male breast reduction surgery is a straight-forward procedure that lasts up to 2 hours with minimal complications or additional surgeries. Much like other out-patient procedures, general anesthesia is administered by a licensed board-certified anesthesiologist.
The common recovery period of a breast reduction client is one hours with sustained physical activity for one week. Results are permanent, when weight is maintained.
